Goddamn Hobos

Monday, April 24th, 2006

This past weekend I accidentally left my car unlocked. Of course, some hobo goes through my car and turns everything inside out looking for crack money. Thankfully the booze I got for my sister was untouched, however the hobo opened the box of teacakes for my grandma and ate one. Aside from the mess, it looks like he only had the mind to clean out my change drawer (~$4) and steal my 1st gen iPod car charger (what the hell for I don’t know).

I hope to hell I can find a new apartment (with parking) come august. Otherwise, I’m going to leave a candy bar full of arsenic on my dash.

Head’n'Shoulders word of the day

I learned a new word today: “Hedonism”
he·don·ism n.

  1. Pursuit of or devotion to pleasure, especially to the pleasures of the senses.
  2. Philosophy. The ethical doctrine holding that only what is pleasant or has pleasant consequences is intrinsically good.
  3. Psychology. The doctrine holding that behavior is motivated by the desire for pleasure and the avoidance of pain.

Which makes me think that some how Head’n'Shoulders of Maxwellhouse was aptly named, even if by coincidence.

Back to the grind

I’m back home from Taiwan. On top of the jet lag I get to deal with a giant pile of stuff to do. School work, personal business, blah, and more blah. I need a vacation.

Checking in from Taiwan

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

Been running around Taiwan with Judy having a good time.

The best part is clothes shopping. Apparently I’m a size L here :) And for the ~$100USD I’ve spent so far I’ve got 4 shirts, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of khakis, a light jacket, and a bluetooth headset. Actually, the bluetooth headset was about $40USD… The stuff isn’t half bad either. I’d say about GAP quality.
